Walmart Pay App Now Available For Apple Devices
Walmart mobile payments service has finally been launched and is now available for iPhones.
Walmart has finally made its mobile payments service available for iOS devices along with many new features. The application was available for Apple devices on Friday announced at the mobile wallet back in December. The giant US retailer has given the option to iPhone users to update the application and enjoy their shopping at ease without having to worry forgetting their wallets and bags along and their cards at homes.
Walmart Wholesale has launched this application for iOS but sadly not for Android devices yet. Users will receive the option of logging into the website of the retailer and insert their credit or debit card information in order to make payments through their mobile phones. After this, users will be able to make payments through the application with the QR scanning code.
Walmart Pay App is only capable of receiving and processing transaction that are done at the stores of the company, but it has no plans to stick to this and will be getting into the business of mobile payment entirely by making the application available for all kinds of purchases from everywhere by the end of 2016. This application still has some issues and setbacks but it is still entertaining enough to keep the users attracted to it.
Walmart Stores Inc. is the first one in the retailing industry to not adopt Apple Pay and now we know why. The retailers own application has paper receipts and even returns data made by the customers. The card data of the customer will not show up but will hold the data in a virtual manner. The application will also consist of gift cards, however it is unknown as to whether this application has gone live already will in the future at the store of the company.
Walmart Stores had been testing this application for a very long time and running pilot programs. It has finally managed to come out becoming a threat to many others in the market including Apple Pay App since it is only available for iOS devices for now; it might become a problem for Samsung Pay App upon its availability for Android devices.
This feature of mobile wallet might just be it for many of the customers who are already familiar with it and it had almost 22 million users at the end of 2015. Thus getting users for the pay application will not be hard for the organization. Mobile payments services better keep their eyes open since this app will be available at a bigger scale by the end of this year only.
